Storage Usage

Post by lennis40 »

Is there a report that can be run to show storage sizes being used by jobs, and that would allow sorting of different jobs together for a total amongst only certain jobs?

I'm not sure this is exactly what I'm looking for. I would like a report that I can select certain backup jobs, run the report, and it will show me their total storage. Or even a report that shows all backup jobs, and their current total storage, for a selected period, would be good.

Yes, I see. Have you tried to drill down to the repository in the first report that should list all jobs targeted to this repository? Also can you please share how you're going to use this information further?

Billing purposes. It's nice to know what the exact storage on a repository is, so that's why I'm surprised a basic storage usage report isn't available that I can run for any given time period. I have drilled down in the reports to the repository level, but is that showing me the backup size for a specific day? I just need to see total stored size for each backup job.

Hello,
Please take a look at Backup Billing report. Is that what you were looking for?
Veeam Backup Files Growth report, as was mentioned above, also can be useful. You can observe your repositories, checking sizes and dates of backup files for the preset period and see how much repository space left.
Thanks.

Backup billing report. Is the row that shows the size for the backup job name, the current total storage for that job on the repository?

Yes, that's the space consumed by the job at that time.

Having the ability to export to .csv would also be a good addition to the reporter.

If you install SSRS for reports generation you will have more export options for the reports (including CSVs), with our built-in report viewer you can export our reports to Excel, Word and PDF.
