Hyper-V Off Host Proxy Server
Hi,
We use a Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V cluster based on Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter licenses;
Can we use as a Veeam Off host proxy server ?
- a Windows 2008 R2 Standard server with the Hyper-V role enabled ?
- a Windows 2012 R2 Standard server with the Hyper-V role enabled ?

Re: Hyper-V Off Host Proxy Server
The off-host proxy must be the same operating system as the cluster (2008 R2).

Does the licensing model mather ? E.g. can Windows 2008R2 Standard be used for a 2008R2 datacenter cluster ?

Re: Hyper-V Off Host Proxy Server
Windows licensing does not matter. Just the OS version should coincide and the server should not be a cluster member.

What matters is these requirements. Thanks.
