Ubuntu Repository server: No such file or directory

I am very inexperienced! I have installed a Ubuntu 14.4 x64 server and added it to my Veeam backup infrastructure. I then created a path for the backup jobs to store files /veeam/. The backup job fails with the error "Error: can not create /veeam/Backup Job 1 : No such file or directory" I read on some Ubuntu forums that this error occurs when trying to run x86 binaries on a x64 system that doesn't have 32-bit support installed. Obviously I am not running binaries but i am not sure if the vbm files would cause this.

Any tips on what could be a possible cause?

Have you added the said linux server as a repository or just as managed server? Have you already contacted support team with that? Thanks.

Are the permissions correct on the /veeam folder? Which ones are currently configured?

I added the server as a repository server - Backup Infrastructure\Backup Repositories\Add Repository - Followed the Wizard. The Linux host can also be found in the Managed Servers drop-down menu as well. I have taken over from a previous employee and I am currently in the process of renewing our support contract with a reseller, but thought I would post on the forum in the mean-time.

Could you tell the permission for the folder? Did you try for example chmod 777 /veeam (as a test!) and run the job again?
