Ms Exchange Server 2013
Dear All,
I am looking for a free backup solution to backup and restore log and mailbox databases of MS Exchange 2013 on Wn Server 2012 R2 Eng. I have two Exchange Servers, not virtual, with CAS and DAG roles.
Supporting of MS VSS, email notifications with backup status, jobs run by schedule and granular restore could be a great features of VEB.
Does this product meet requirements regarding to my task?

Hello Alexey,
Any chance you are going to use the Veeam Backup and Replication repository as a backup destination?

In order to backup transaction logs you will have to use something similar to our SQL backup job (which is available in Veeam B&R only). Currently, you will need to use native tools to do point-in-time restores.

I backup my Exchange Server 2013 with EndPoint and I can succesfully restore granular emails.

Hi Suresnes,
Correct, if you integrate it with VBR v8 with Update 2 you will be able to do that. Can you tell us more on how you truncate your logs of exchange?
Many thanks
Mike

Thing is: I don't do anything special to make it work...

@mairiesuresnes: a bit old topic, but do you have a single Exchange server setup, or do you have something like a DAG cluster?

Hi folks,
The file level recovery for exchange server in simple installation should work indeed. DAGs and clusters are not supported in the current version. Thanks.
