Jobs select the wrong NIC to make connections

Since upgrading from v7 to v8, all backup copy jobs are broken as well as configuration backup.

Server configuration is one management adapter with gateway IP and two 10Gb connections with no gateway and no routes anywhere.

Knowing that a NIC has no gateway IP address, we should never send it a job where a routed connection (IP off system) is required. Is this accounted for in any way within the software?

Setting a 'preferred network' would seem to have the opposite effect, suggesting the fast network (non-routed) is the best chance, when for a backup copy or config backup using remote repositories, the opposite would be true.

My setup can't be all that unique. Any place with fast storage and a multiple site connection would have a similar situation.

Everything was working as expected under v7.

Hi Andrew,

Usually, these kind of issues are resolved by setting/configuring the preferred network. What did your support engineer find out after reviewing your network setup?
