Backup server in dmz --> access is denied

Hi there

We looked for a backup-solution, where you can backup server in dmz, then we have found veeam Backup and Replication.

So I wanted to set up the backup of our dmz-server.

I made a port forwarding in our firewall:
http://www.veeam.com/kb1518

And wanted to add a server to veeam.

But the error-message appear:

"Access is denied.
--tr:Failed to create persistent connection to ADMIN$ shared folder on host [XX.XXX.XXX.XX].
--tr: Failed to install service [VeeamDeploymentService] was not installed on the host[XX.XXX.XXX.XX]."

Could anyone help me?

Could you please elaborate a bit on the entire environment? Do you mean your host is in DMZ or VM you want to backup is in DMZ? In latter case, you can back it up fine, since direct network connection to it is not required for backup.
