Failed to flush file buffers

Post by BCT-Tech »

We have a SQL Server (2012) job configured for Incremental, and backing up the transaction logs every 15 min. The Incremental SQL job completed this morning at 3:22am. We started getting these email alerts around 7am:

"Failed to save transaction log backup file for database PROD\interactive_security to repository: An unexpected network error occurred. Failed to flush file buffers. File: [\\nas01\veeam\SQL\SQL2015-03-25T030630.vlb]. Failed to backup file. File: [C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\SqlLogBackup\{e32021d1-55e0-4f0a-84af-401fe55a02bf}.bak]. ItemSpec: [veeamfs:5:28aa2ab1-7a60-467f-8486-2426dbf1aeb3 (vm-68)\{e32021d1-55e0-4f0a-84af-401fe55a02bf}.bak@\\nas01\veeam\SQL\SQL2015-03-25T030630.vlbVBK:
Collected transaction logs do not match any existing full database backup: PROD\interactive_security; PROD\model; PROD\interactive; PROD\Main; PROD\DocManDB"

Other Veeam backup jobs are completing successfully. The only change we made to the job yesterday was from "LAN Target" to "WAN Target".

Any ideas?

Changing block size should not break anything regarding logs backup, so I recommend to continue with logs review with support.
