Checking Exchange Databases With in backup

Post by smakked »

Is there a way we can check the Exchange databases after a backup?
As of now i have to manually restore the exchange backup to check if it is uptodate.

I know this is not a Veeam issue , the backups not being uptodate, it is an issue with exchange and we are working with MS to sort it.

But just wanted to know if anyone has been able to automate this in anyway ? to save some time. Is Sure backup capable of this ?

Hi Adrian,
of course you can use Surebackup. But Surebackup will only start e.g. DC and Exchange in
your lab and you need a custom script to do the DB check.
The script needs to stop exchange services and then run eseutil inside of the VM with every
database if you want to check integrity of exchange database.
