No Event Logs
Hello,
My backup jobs are not placing any specific Veeam Endpoint Backup events in my servers event log.
Under Settings / Disable Notifications = Unticked
How do I enable this?
Also I have my backup set to run once a day @ 0630. I'm noticing it's running every 2nd day. I can't see ehay it would be behaving like this.
Regards
Warwick

Re: No Event Logs
Hi Warwick,
In eventviewer, under Applications and Services Logs, there should be an event log called Veeam Endpoint Backup. Can you confirm you can't see this? (It doesn't appear under Windows Logs...)
For your second question. Besides the schedule of 06.30, how is the rest of your schedule looking? What is the value of Back up no more often than every [X] something?
Thanks
Mike

Re: No Event Logs
Warwick,
The ‘disable notification’ option shuts down only notifications inside control panel (yellow notification line in the breadcrumb) while windows events remain untouched. Please, check the event viewer under Applications and Service Logs > Veeam Endpoint Backup as Mike suggested.

Re: No Event Logs
Hello Mike,
The penny just dropped, I was looking under the Windows events.
I can see it now in the Applications and Services Logs. All good now.
The Schedule is:
Daily @ 6:30am - I changed this yesterday to 7:30Am and it worked this morning
At the following events:
Lock / Log off / When backup target is connected = unticked
Thank you

Re: No Event Logs
Hi Warwick,
One question remains... What is the value of Back up no more often than every X? If this is 24 hour you will get into trouble. 23 hours (or less) might be a better idea
Let us know
Mike

Re: No Event Logs
Hi Mike,
Sorry my "Back up no more often than every" is set for 2 days.
I ran a manual backup to check the Email script http://forums.veeam.com/veeam-endpoint- ... 27569.html @ 9:27Am yesterday.
My Schedule is set to run automatically now @ 7:30AM. It did not run this morning. There is no movement in the event log, eg it didn't even try to start.
I have now just set this to "Back up no more often than every" = 20 Hour

Re: No Event Logs
That should fix it I think.
Keep us informed. It should now run at 7.30 am
Cheers
Mike
