Veeam accross multiples machines
I am still testing Veeam in the lab. I am wondering if its possible to have the tape unit on an different server, and the backup proxy on its own machine?
Cheers

Absolutely yes,as per version 8 Tape Server and any other role can be deployed on a dedicated machine.

Right, you can assign a tape server role to any server you want (provided it meets the requirements).

Alex1002, with V8 you could even control a gargantuan veeam infrastructure consisting of tons of physical backup machines with tape streamers attached from one single veeam control machine.
