ad hoc full compact of backup copy job
Other than modifying the schedule for full compact on a backup copy job is there a way to run an ad hoc compact via the CLI?

Re: ad hoc full compact of backup copy job
I'm not sure that answers the question, I'm running continuous backup copy jobs with a scheduled compact for each job but I want to be able to run a compact on an ad-hoc basis without the system sending me lots of emails when I disable the copy job to amend the schedule.

Re: ad hoc full compact of backup copy job
Most of backup copy job settings are configurable via Powershell. Compact full schedule should be configurable there, as well. The idea will be to disable compact full in GUI, then, execute the PS script. Within the script the backup copy job will be disabled, compact full will be enabled, the current date will be setup as its schedule, and the backup copy job will re-enabled again (which supposedly should result in its new cycle; otherwise, you might want to leverage sync now option). Thanks.

I am not sure I follow you here, Vladimir. I think the real answer is - there is no way to trigger ad hoc compact operation via CLI.

Re: ad hoc full compact of backup copy job
The idea is to set within the script current date as a date when compact full backup should take place and force next cycle of backup copy job during which compact full would be created. But that speculation needs to be proved, of course.
