Export reports - all expandable sections

Post by Cragdoo »

I have run a Configuration change report, and I can see that several VMs have had changes, and the report allows me to expand the changes section to see what the changed values were/are.

However when I try to export the report to either PDF, Word doc, MHTML I only see the overview of the expandable sections, not the details.

Is there any way to export the report with all sections expanded?

Hi Craig,

If you export the report as Excel file, all sections will be expanded.

Cheers

perfect ..thanks Alec

I have another MP question, unrelated, but hopefully you can help.

I'm looking to create a heatmap of overall cluster memory/CPU resources. I see the Host Compute heat maps, but wondering if there is a way to roll this up into an overall cluster map?

E.g. I have 3 hosts of 256GB ,I can individually see the memory usage of the hosts, but want to their usage into an average usage figure for the cluster (kind of rudimentary Capacity snapshot)

or am I just not looking hard enough ??

Hi Craig,

For sure you can create a heatmap at cluster level, we have the metrics built-in to the MP for that :)

Take a look at our MP Help Center http://helpcenter.veeam.com/mp/70/vmwar ... mware.html

In Appendix I. there is section on using our widgets to create dashboards.

You can copy the format of our Host Compute heatmap dashboard, and use two panes - one for Cluster CPU, and one for Cluster memory.

In heatmap configuration -
Use Group "VMware Clusters" for scope
For Tile class use "VMware Cluster".

For the size of CPU tiles ,use property "Total CPU GHz"
For the colour of CPU tiles, use metric VMcluster- cpuUsedPct

For the size of memory tiles ,use property "Total Memory GB"
For the colour of memory tiles, use metric VMcluster- memoryUsedPct

Let us know how your heatmap efforts work out! :D

Cheers
Alec

I may have hit a snag ... I'm looking to create 1 tile , whose value is the percentage of overall cluster memory used, is this possible ?

p.s. and it's for a hyper-v cluster

**Update**

Got it ...i think
I set my
Scope to "Veeam Hyper-V Clusters Group"
Group to "Veeam Hyper-V Clusters Group"
Class to "Hyper-V Cluster (Veeam MP)

but I only have 2 counters to pick from
%CPU Used
%Memory Used

I set tile size to %CPU and colour to %Memory ...this looks like what we're looking for :)

I set tie
