Our consultant will install v8 for us but I will prepare the server template beforehand...

Can I pre-install SQL Server 2012 Express on the Win2k12 VM that will house all the Veeam software?? -- anything specific I should configure?? -- will the Veeam install 'know' SQL is already there??

Does Veeam have anything that will read other backup softwares such as PHDVirtual 6.5.x or Unitrends Virtual Backup 8.x??
I'm highly doubtful and highly hopeful on this...it would be nice to have.

Yes, during installation you can point backup server to already existing SQL server.

No, we don't have any integration with other 3-party backup solution.

A very belated thank you for answering.
I recently discovered that our Enterprise Plus purchase includes Availablity Suite with Veeam ONE, which will be very nice to have.

Is Availability Suite installed along with Veeam B&R?? Or is it a separate server installation with its own database etc.??
