Backups failing as failed to start client agent on host

Post by DottM »

Hi,
I am running Backup and Replication 8.0.0.817 and running into an issue where I cant backup to a linux repo.

I have added the repo and it can explore and list the files. However on backup it complains of the following error: Failed to start client agent on the host '' Timeout to start agent As I understand it you run a pearl agent on the remote host to check for space.

I can see this file being uploaded to the /tmp directory as:

VeeamAgentac8779da-27ff-48e4-8cfd-9738598f92f3

It is 15mb in size and confirmed it has the relevant permissions:

-rwxrwxrwx

As the file has no extension and I tried running it as a perl extension and it just fails. I am assuming this file is failing some way and was wondering how I can run this manually to see whats going on? I am running the following version of Perl:

This is perl 5, version 18, subversion 4 (v5.18.4) built for armle-linux

Thanks
Scott
