Hi All,
We have a VM with SQL Express running, when a VEEAM backup task hits that VM, it seems to lock up the whole machine and will often reboot.
How does Veeam do it's backups? Filelevel, Snap? Any way around this? We're suspecting it's because of the SQL. Running Version 7. -Geoff.

Re: Veeam Shutdown DB
At which time does it usually happen? Closer to the end of job? Is Application Aware Image Processing enabled? We have a VM with SQL Express running, when a VEEAM backup task hits that VM, it seems to lock up the whole machine and will often reboot.

Re: Veeam Shutdown DB
Hi v.Eremin,
Thanks for the response. It will usually happen about the same time the job starts, hard to get an exact. But no, Application Aware Image Processing is not enabled on that backup job. I just started looking at that, will try to enable it and see how it goes! Thanks!

Re: Veeam Shutdown DB
If it occurs at the very beginning and our VSS specific logic is not involved, can you simulate the same behaviour manually and see whether the issue persists? You can follow procedure similar to this one. Thanks.
