Hi Benoit,

Would you like to get data about CPU/Memory configuration or resource usage?

Thanks!

Hi Benoit,
Are you talking about VMware Raw Performance Data report(part of Custom reports)?
If yes, you probably need to choose Object Type first. Thanks!

Thank for your kick replies,

Actually I'm talking about the offline report named "RAW DATA ANALYSIS", it's described as giving all raw data in the documentation.

Regarding VMware Raw Performance Data report i keep on getting timeouts on these,

Thanks for your insights !

Do you use SSRS to generate this report? Also what is the selected reporting time period and the number of objects in the reporting scope?

Benoit,
Thanks for the specification. I just thought you might mixed up those reports, since the VMware Raw Performance Data looks like the one you are looking for.
As for Raw Data Analysis, the report contains predominantly configuration information. Probably, we need to change its description a bit. Thanks for the heads up!

We're not using SSRS to generate the report and they are not time selection in this kind of report (at least for our vmWare infrastructure). The scope is on a cluster of 7 hosts and 300 VMs.
I manage to download the report and open it with the report viewer but there is no CPU related counters displayed in the spreadsheet (not even on the data sheet).

I was referring to the report that times out in your case. If you need to get raw data for performance metrics, you should be using VMware Raw Performance Data or VMware Custom Performance reports from the custom report pack. Thanks!

Your remark is fair. I`ve already contacted QA team to correct the description.
Thanks again!
