Hi,
I am using Veeam Backup & Replication v9. I am taking backup of SQL Server but I am taking an error. The Error is " VSSControl: Failed to prepare guest for freeze, wait timeout 900 sec.". I read this link "
https://www.veeam.com/kb1377 " and added "VssPreparationTimeout:1800000" in regedit but it is giving same error. Could you please help me?
Regards,
Ismail Karatas

Hello,
I am still having this issue after adding the following registry key "VssPreparationTimeout:1800000" the only difference is this time i got the following message , "7/18/2017 8:30:32 PM :: Processing XXXXX Error: VSSControl: Failed to prepare guest for freeze, wait timeout 1800 sec," instead of 900 sec.
My Case # is 02215466

I have the same issue than you, I even put 30000 seconds, with no success. Please Supraman, could you tell me how did you solve this issue?
Thanks.

Based on the support ticket, increasing timeout value and excluding other 3-party software from truncating logs have solved the issue for Ismail.
However, your situation might be a bit different, so, please, reach our support team for further investigation.
Thanks!
