Missing a disabled proxy after B&R v7 to v8 upgrade.

Post by mc1903 »

Hi,

I have just upgraded from B&R v7 to v8 (+R2 patch) and it all went smoothly except for one small thing.

I had a disabled proxy (installed it whilst 'playing' initially) on one of my repository servers and it did not seem to get upgraded.

My server monitoring application is reporting that the Veeam Backup Proxy Service on the server was removed (uninstalled) at the time of the upgrade and the entry in the B&R console was also missing.

I have tried re-adding it in the console and this is 'successful' but the service does not actually get re-installed on the remote server.

What should a v7 to v8 upgrade do to installed components that are disabled?

Thanks
M

Hi, this sounds like some sort of potential upgrade bug. Based on what you are seeing, you should probably open a support case to have our engineer fix some configuration database records manually, before you will be able to deploy the corresponding proxy again. Thanks!
