Domain Controller Down

Hi Guys,
today one of our Domain controller didn't wanna start on ESXI 5.5
the error was
"virtual machine disk consolidation is needed"
"the redo log of is corrupted. if the problem persists discard the redo log"

after i've tried to restart the VM even rebooted the host nothing helps.
its appear to be something with the disk.
is it possible that Veeam has corrupted the VM while taking a snapshot ?
is restoring using VEEAM gonna solve the issue ?

Hi Julien,

Try to follow this KB article from VMware, should resolve the issue with snapshots > Consolidating snapshots in vSphere 5.x/6.0 (2003638).

As to possible reasons for this behavior, then usually it is caused by the vCenter Server not being able to commit the snapshot of VM. In order to be aware about these issues, I would suggest reading through this blog post for some tips and tricks on how to monitor it and fix it > 8 gems in Veeam Availability Suite v8.
