Sql backup not truncating logs

Post by frankive »

Hi.
We have a brand new sql server 2012 R2 with Sql express 2014.
We do have a guest processing with the domain administrator to the sepcific server. The user also has full sysadmin role.
We do use log shipping every 15 min.
Everything seems fine and everything is green and shiny and the jobs says it truncates loag after image run.

But it doesn't.

The log remains the same size and is growing for each day.

What can cause this?

Hi,

Do you have any messages in a Windows Application log? Seems like a permissions issue to me. Please check this article.

Thank you.

No permission issue as far as I can see. Will create a support ticket for a remote session

Yep, always worth to do if none of the "top of mind" guesses work.
