Windows 10 Problem
vSphere 5.5 & 6.0
vCenter Server 5.5 & 6.0 w/latest build
ESXi 5.5 & 6.0 w/latest build and updates
Veeam 8.0.0.2030
Windows 10 vm on ESXi 5.5 host backs up perfectly, however, Windows 10 vm on ESXi 6.0 host will not backup. Both hosts are on the same domain and use the same credentials. The credential test for ESXi 6.0 host fails and error states not compatible. Is this a Veeam issue?
Thanks,
mux

Re: Windows 10 Problem
For now you can back it up, using Veeam Endpoint Backup Free. Thanks.

You can even choose existing backup repository as a target to EP backups and switch to VM backup, when U3 is released. Thanks.

Is there a release date already available? I'm just about to deliver a new host with a dedicated Win7 VM for VBR, which I upgraded to Windows 10...
It would be just nice to know

just noticed it backs up the VM only if it off.
when its on it does comes back with the same error .
is Veeam 2030 build doesn't support Win 10 ?

i've figured lately out that was the case.
i've noticed its backed up only when the VM is shutdown.
waiting for the patch 3.

[MERGED] Windows 10 or Update 3?
We have 10+ windows 10 VM's running on hyper-v now but Veeam B&R v8 latest still can't back them up.
I tried support they wanted me to run a script on the host server, but rather wait for update 3 as it's said to have support for windows 10. Is there any release date yet, I saw here on the form September and we are just about done with September so wanted to see if there is any updates. We really could use this in our setup as we develop software and need to keep up on new versions of windows.
Has anyone gotten this to work, because the support way running a pre-script didn't work..
