Failed to create recovery media case 01063866

Hello!
Recently we installed Veeam B&R Enterprise. We want to use our repository to store Endpoint Backups there. The problem is we are getting this error on every computer (Windows 7 Pro x64, Windows 8.1 Pro). If I try it at home every computer has no problems with it, and creates the image. The words in Czech means something like "System is unable to access the file."

I tried to install Windows ADK, but without any chage.

Can you, please help me?

Hello Jakub,

Kindly, next time use a built in Endpoint’s support logic for opening a case related to the Veeam Endpoint Backup ( you can open a case thru Control Panel > Support). It automatically uploads the application logs to support team which makes troubleshooting as easy as possible. Thanks

P.S. I wonder if you have Veeam Endpoint Backup up to date (we had similar issues in the old builds but it should be fixed by now)

Sorry about wrong way of opening ticket.

We are using version 1.1.1.212 and destination for rec. media is always somewhere on local disks (runnig it as admin).

Thanks for the heads up. Can you confirm the behavior persists after the complete PC reboot?

Rebooting the PC makes no difference. But after a suggestion to change the temp location through registry I have a new error. But it at least makes two randomly named folders in destination, which includes files from WinRE and from my system.

We found a way, to disconnect a PC from domain, make image and join it back. So it is permissions related I think. But I was logged in as domain admin, I ran VEB as admin and the temp folder was on non-system drive with RW permissions to Everyone.
