I'll be running my backups via the virtual appliance approach to a CIFS share on a remote server. The remote server has BackupExec installed with a tape library. How do I kick off the BackupExec copy to tape job from the Veeam virtual appliance? Is this possible? If so can you also do this with Windows backup on the remote server?
thanks,
Brian

Re: Remote copy to tape after Veeam job finishes
Download and copy psexec to Windows\System32 on your Veeam Backup VM, and use the following command:
Code: Select all
psexec \\remoteServer\ "C:\Program Files\Tape Vendor\jobStartingCommand.exe" -jobname sweepToTapeJob -parameter1 value1 ...
