Can not FLR to original VM, if exclude system disk.

I set to exclude C drive(System disk) with backup job.
If I performs FLR(Windows) in veeam console, cannot restore to original location(gray out "Restore" buttom).
But if I perform 1 Click FLR in enterprise manager, can restore to original location.

Perhaps this reason is that 1 Click FLR use file index.
Are this action is veeam spec?
When I will perform FLR in veeam console, can I use file index?

This is expected behavior in case of excluding system disk. During Windows FLR, Veeam B&R matches VM disks based on the information taken from the guest OS registry. Since there's no system partition in the backup job, there's no registry to look into and the partition cannot be matched to the one of the original VM. You're right assuming that in case of 1-Click FLR this information can be obtained from the guest files index.

Hi everybody,

I have a question... i have Veeam B&R 8.0.

I configured backups of many vm in my organization. In one of VM I have a separate copy for disks. C drive backup is first made, and then copy the remaining disks, one by one is done.

When I go to restore a file using Windows file restore, selecting a file or folder on the secondary disk (E, F, G, etc.) options "Restore-> Keep or overwrite" appear disabled.

Why is this happening?

Sergio, this is expected, please see explanation above. You can use 1-Click restore from Enterprise Manager as a workaround.
