VBK Maintenance

Post by mmonroe »

To All,

Some thoughts..

1) How is maintenance done on the VBK database for machines that are removed from the backup routines and whatnot?

2) How is the VBK maintained with regards to machines that "shink" in size and whatnot? For example, you purge a large database. Will the VBK adjust its size to reflect the change or does a pack/defrag/compress need to be done?

I have search the doc and Google and so far have come up emtpy.

Thanks,

Mark

Excellent. That is what I was looking for.

On a side note, Veeam should document these notes and ideas. VMware does a pretty good job of documenting things on their database storage with VMware Data Recovery.

Thanks again,

Mark
