How Can I Start PowerShell Scripting with the Free Version?

Post by masa »

I have been a user of Veeam free versions for about a year and noticed lately that latest version (Update 2) supports PowerShell. So I installed VeeamBackup&Replication_8.0.0.2030_Update2b.exe and have been trying to get started, but I cannot find the msi file (BPS_x64.ms) anywhere in the Veeam folder... (I am looking for the file becuase I am referring to http://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/80/v ... shell.html)

Am I supposed to download the msi file from somewhere else?

Do you have original installation .iso at hand? If so, browse it and find there the said .msi (:\Backup\BPS_x64.msi). Otherwise, try to browse the directory VB&R is installed in, and run Install-VeeamToolkit.ps1 that is present there (typically, it's
C:\Program Files\Veeam\Backup and Replication\Backup\Install-VeeamToolkit.ps1). Thanks.
