improve powershell reference documentation

Post by christian.naenny » 1 person likes this post

Hi all,

It helped quite a lot having the PowerShell reference documentation (http://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/80/p ... rence.html) available.
I would like to suggest to improve the documentation to make it even more useful. The suggestions I have are as follows:
- add a link to the return object and its methods
- list all the possible objects and their methods
- add a link to the objects above and below in the object hierarchy (show inheritance)

Admittedly, this suggestions are based on the experience of the VMWare PowerShell Cmdlets Reference (http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-55/index ... rview.html)

Hi Christian and welcome to the community!

Yes, PowerShell reference still misses some useful info, indeed, however that's not what can be fixed immediately. Our product is under continious development and constantly changes, so some internal mechanisms and the way how different parts interact with each other may change as well, yet we plan to provide our users with more detailed and stable commandline interface in future.

Thank you for heads up!
