Hi
When I try to restore my VM i get the following error:
"Restore job failed Error: The operation is not allowed in the current state."
I have tried restarting the management service on both the ESXi host and the vCentre server.
The original VM no longer exists and the datastore which it is was on is completely empty.
A little bit more information here would be helpful The operation is not allowed in the current state of What?? ... The backup, the ESX host, the VM???
I am using Veeam 7.0 and ESXi 5.1.
If anyone can help with this I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance,
DJ

Re: Unable to restore VM
What kind of restore are you trying to perform? Instant VM Recovery, Full VM Restore, etc.? Might be worth checking different types of restore to see whether all of them are affected. Can you also check ESXi/vCenter events or logs; chances are more information regarding the root cause can be found there? Thanks.

I'd also check if all hardware, networks etc. that is required for that VM is present on the target host.

Re: Unable to restore VM
Also, contacting support might be reasonable - restore session logs should tell more details on the reason of failure.
