We are using Endpoint Backup for backing up our handful of leftover physical servers. It works great but since these servers are on addresses that need to go through a proxy server to connect out to the internet on http/https, the auto checking for updates was not working.
When I read through things I found that Veeam Endpoint Backup uses the users' IE proxy settings, which works ok, but we would prefer for it to use the winHTTP settings which can be set for the entire system and does not change the proxy settings for the web-browsers. Since some of the internal web applications these servers access are not accessible when using our proxy, we can't leave the IE proxy set the majority of the time.
We have some other applications (DuoRDP for 2-factor auth, specifically) which works on these systems using the winHTTP proxy.
This is not a pressing issue, but it would make things a little simpler from a system configuration standpoint.
Thanks,
