Set Guest OS credentials to EMPTY

Post by skest3qc »

Hi,

we have some backupjobs where "Enable application aware processing" and "Enable guest file system indexing" is not enabled but Guest OS credentials are set. I can set them to "Default" but the credentials DropDownList is still filled with a username.

How it looks like:

How it should look like:

Is there a way, maybe with powershell, to clear out this credentials from the backup job?

Thanks

Providing both options are disabled, these credentials won't have any effect whatsoever. Thanks.

Hi,

the problem is that i cannot delete a credential because it is in use :)

It should also be possible to get a blank item there.

Is there a way to this with powershell? Can you ask your team please?
Thanks

I've checked several ways how credentials can be set to blank; without much success, though.

The said behaviour looks like a bug. So, you'd better open a ticket with our support team and let them remove references to unused credentials from the db, so that, creds can be finally removed.

Thanks.

Is there an update on this? Did you openend a case and got an result from support?
Yeah, I totally agree with you on that.
Its confusing when I'm trying to delete a user or want to see which jop the user is mapped and as an result there's false positive information then
