Quick Migration of B&R server

Post by john3voltas »

Is it possible to do a quick migration of the B&R server itself?
BTW, we're using the free edition.

I'm almost sure it's not, since VM needs to be suspended or stopped during Quick Migration.

If migration is a purpose, you can replicate VB&R VM and perform planned failover afterwards. Thanks.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "replicate". This is a free VB&R. Can I do replication with it too? I was under the impression that I could only do backup and migration.
Thanks in advance.

You're right, there is no replication functionality in free version. So, you would need to either backup/restore the server or just re-install everything from scratch (might be the easiest option, since I'm not sure what particular configuration you're willing to preserve on free server). Thanks.
