NetApp Veeam 8 NFS 4.1

Post by larry »

Using NetApp- data on tap and Veeam 8 ( all updates to both ) . Using storage snap shots doing a restore guest files Veeam mounts using NFS 3, I have NFS 3 disabled on the SAN and would like to use NFS 4.1, is this possible? The reason I disable 3 is to be sure an admin does not corrupt a datastore by accidently mounting a NFS datastore to an ESX hosts using NFS 3 to one host and 4.1 to the other host. My work around is turning on NFS 3 but…

The error with NFS 3 disables comes when Adding datastore to host.

No, it's not possible with v8 as it only supports NFS v3.
