The only VM's I get disk latency alarms on are B&R Proxies..

Post by jbarrow.viracoribt »

I have noticed since we moved over to NetApp storage I get very few if any "VM total disk latency" alarms from Veeam One.

I have noticed that when I do get them, they always seem to be for VM's that act as virtual proxies. How can this be explained?

Hello Jonathan,
There can be several reasons. i.e. backup processing demands more memory than the VM has and it uses disk to store overhead.
How the latency graph looks like, is that a single pike or the latency is above the thresholds during the long time?
FYI, you can suppress alarms for the duration of backup jobs.

It is expected to see high load on the datastore during backup window. Please take a look at the provided resolution info and let us know the results.
