Custom/more detailed reports in Veeam Enterprise Manager

Post by FBraendle »

Hi

Got some questions regarding Reports/Views in Enterprise Manager and more...
I couldn't find the information, so i just ask :)

1.
Is there a possibility to generate a report/excel sheet which displays jobs with ALL their properties for documentation reasons?
I just want to avoid creating and maintaining the documentation by hand...

2.
Is it somehow possible to create custom views in Enterprise Manager?

3.
Is it possible to check the dedup and compression rate of a VM in a Job?
At the moment for troubleshooting big incrementals i can only check the run time of the backup(per VM). The longer to backup takes, the bigger its share in the incremental(imho)...

a.) it would be way more accurate then just "putting the finger in the wind"
b.) we have to deal with IT Owners of the VMs. When the incrementals are huge, it would be nice to be able to show them a graph/table which clearly states that a certain machine has a problem
that needs to be investigated.

Thanks in advance
Felix

Hello,

1. No, job settings are not collected by Enterprise Manager today, and thus cannot be displayed.
2. You can create custom views by drilling down into required report, but you cannot "save" it if this is what you mean.
3. Yes, you can do this by right-clicking the backup in the main UI.

Thank you for your feedback - this missing functionality is something we can potentially include in the future release, should this become a common request.

I'm pretty sure number 3 (useful detailed statistics) has been requested a number of times... ;)

We provide PowerShell API since v4, they are described in the User Guide.
