Server 2012

Hi I am using Veeam One on windows server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2.
I want to do the transition on Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL 2012 with same host name and same ip. I will export db and rest of the configuration shud be same.
Please guide me

Hello,

In order to do relocation like this, please backup and then restore Veeam ONE database to new a SQL Server 2012 (using SQL Management Studio). After that run Veeam ONE setup wizard and point it to the restored database. Should be sufficient to reach your goal.

I belive it shud not matter if i use different ip and different hostname.

Not sure I understand that last comment. Do you say that you wouldn't need to point to the existing database when running our setup wizard?

I mean i will come up with new Veeam 9 server with different IP and Host Name. and i will export the DB and import here. Shud instance name in the new Veeam server shud be same as old server.

Database needs to be upgraded as there were some changes in schema and datatables, so please point v9 installer to the v8 database to upgrade it.
