Replication AAIP - Continuous
Hi guys,
We currently have servers being replicated every 2-3 hours.
We want to add another replication job whereby they will be continuously replicated. If we add a continuous job how will this affect the secondary replication task.
Further still when backups of these servers occur early morning how will it affect the backup task?
Lastly if we use Application Aware Image Processing (AAIP) will it continuously freeze the services that run on certain servers (exchange/sql) when on a continuous replication?
Apologies but I want to ensure I have this level of detail correct before affecting production vm's

The job that attempts to process the same VM while it is already being backed up/replicated, will wait for the VM to be released. AAIP activities will be performed during each job cycle.

Hi Ben,
Several jobs with different sources can work simultaneously if you have a parallel processing enabled on proxy.
Do you want to backup/replicate same VM? You may want to leverage Remote Replica from Backup technique.
Thanks

We want to replicate constantly offsite to our Disaster Recovery site.
The secondary scheduled interval replication is for our onsite replica's
The backups are once a day in the morning.
So i need the jobs to all be able to run without affecting each other.
How does the AAIP work during continuous replication?

Continuous replication in terms of Veeam B&R means that the next replication cycle starts immediately after the previous one is finished (think of running the job immediately after itself). So AAIP works the same way as running the job several times in a row, performing its activities during each cycle.

Thanks Alexander I assumed as much but wanted that level of clarification.
