Update v8---> v9

Post by adrianIDC »

If I make a Configuration Backup in v8 and exported , re- install the operating system (windows server 2012 r2 ) and after install v9 and charge the backup configuration .
It is correct?

Configuration Backup v8 contains infrastructure ( Servers, repositories , proxies ... etc ) :?:

Correct, you can either perform in-place upgrade or install version 9 from the scratch and import previously backed up configuration to it. Thanks.

Other question........

If I create a backup copy on VM version v8 v9 ..... I run and import the .vbm to restore the VM or anything missing .

I do not know if I'm wrong .... This is not preventative. Because if I steal my files veeam b & r you can restore it, installing a version of v9 anywhere.

The previously created backups can be easily imported into version 9 console and you'll be able to initiate restore procedures. Thanks.
