Veeam BR8 and LTO7 Tape Library

Hello,

We use Veeam B&R to offload backups from disk to tape. We are using version 8 (up to date with patches).

Our tape library is a Dell ML6020 dual LTO4 FC.

We are upgrading our tape library to a ML6010 dual LTO7 FC.

Will it work with Veeam BR8? I noticed in the changelog of Veeam BR9 there was a line item for LTO7, does this mean v8 will not work with LTO7 tape drives or?

Hi, Mirza. It may work, but is not official supported. So, our support will request that you upgrade to v9 in case of any issues as a first step. Thanks!
