Cannot type navigate in Guest File Restore explorer
In v8, if I opened a particular backup to do a guest file restore I was able to navigate and start typing a folder name and it would automatically go to that name, just like in Windows Explorer. V9 no longer does this, it is very frustrating having to drill down just with my eyes in folders with thousands of folders.
Also, when I now click on a folder in a guest file restore, the navigation tree will automatically jump to the Home position (Top of the Tree), and makes me lose my place.
Is there a resolution to this? I am running the latest GA version. I upgraded from v8 today, but definitely was not expecting such a simple thing to now be missing.
Thank You.

Re: Cannot type navigate in Guest File Restore explorer
Hi Ascetik,
Indeed this feature is missing in the new version of Veeam Explorer. Perhaps as workaround you can click on "Open in Explorer" in the ribbon bar within Veeam Explorer. The mountet backup, or the selected folder withing the mounted backup will be opened in windows explorer, and there you should be able to search for files or folders you are looking for.

Re: Cannot type navigate in Guest File Restore explorer
I don't understand the reasoning behind taking this feature out. The problem with using the explorer is that I cannot just overwrite anymore. I have to copy and paste, but I may have to start doing this.
Thanks
Thanks

Could be just a bug, we don't usually take features out for no good reason

Yeah, it'd be good to fix!
