Just a quick one.
I had a virtual server with around 60Gb of files located on it. This server was then backed up using Veeam resulting in a 50ish Gb .vbk file . The files have since been removed and the machine backed up at overnight as usual. Will the .vbk file shrink when the number of days in the retention policy is passed?

Re: .VBK File Sizes
Hi Mark, no this won't happen automatically. To shrink the backup file, you should sdelete the drive from which you have deleted the files, then the VBK will shrink after the next full backup.

Anton,
Thanks for this. I'll give it a try.
I did have a quick search through the post but couldn't find anything, sorry.
