Endpoint Backup Scheduling

Post by Ray.Smith »

I am using Endpoint (v1.1.2.119) to backup one of my physical servers to my Veeam Repoistory (Veeam Backup and Replication V9.0.0.902). I would like to backup my server on an hourly basis. If I use the "When backup target is connected" (which is always), and "Back up no more than every" 1 hour, it does not achieve what I wish. Am I wrong in thinking this should backup my server every hour, since the repository is always connected?

I believe "When backup target is connected" triggers on a "connect" event (which never happens in your case).

Uncheck the 3 events checkboxes ("Lock", "Log off" and "When backup target is connected").
Make sure "Daily at HH:MM" is checked, and keep "Backup no more often than every 1 hour" as is, it should backup every hour.

Hi guys,

The current scheduling option allows running a backup once a day at the set time. Backup no more often is a ‘safety trigger’ for backup events - it should prevent you from getting more than one backup file/job run during the set period of time.

To run backup more than one time per day you can start a backup via custom strip – check this article for VEB CMD commands.
