Why does v9 console take so long to open?

Version 9 takes much, much longer to launch the console as it did in v8. Considering that my impression of the v8 console was that it was already painfully slow to launch, this is agonizing!

I am seeing the same thing, though we jumped from v7 to v9. Its pretty painful...

Bill, did you report this to our support team? Is there any case ID, so that we could review the logs?

I also noticed this, seems to take 10-15 seconds longer than v8 did.

I have seen it on a few of our installations as well on others it seems better so it must have something to do with other background processes (SQL perhaps?) We also had an issue trying to use it from another workstation to the server. I have not put in a case yet since I have been busy and it has not been critical but it is on my to do list. No firewall etc but it still would not connect. I will hopefully get to this next week.
