Restore Oracle VM v9

Post by adrianIDC »

Oracle Restore

In my laboratory I created a VM with Sles SUSE OS and installed with ORACLE databases .

I created a backup job to see how the restoration work.

But I get a window to set parameters :

Server name .... I enter the name of the VM that hosts oracle ?

Into account : as sles .... introduce root ..

Specify Oracle Home: Enter the path where Oracle aims within SLES

Is that so?

Then if I run the APPLICATION solo , I get the following error:

Do you mean whether you can backup Oracle server without enabling application-aware image processing?

Yes, I have launched regular backup job indicating the backup job to do the oracle machine ( SUSE SLES )

I do not understand because Standalone does not support Oracle console . What version if it is compatible ?
I can not recover any data.

This action can not do it cause Oracle App not compatible with my infra Standalone....good

To configure a staging server, do the following:
1.Make sure the server you plan to use meets system requirements; also, check considerations and limitations.
2.In Veeam Explorer for Oracle, open the main menu and click Options.

Then you do not have transactionally consistent backup of Oracle database and can restore to the state as of in the currently selected VM restore point only.
