Backup Failing
Just logged a case 01712649, but wondering if anyone else has this error. Backups stopped working last Sunday, they have been going fine for 2 weeks. Its like it is getting stuck on the "Merging oldest incremental backup into full backup file".
I have 2 servers that push backups to 1 single backup server that just has a bunch of shared volumes. Both servers running endpoint stopped the same day pushing the backups and give the same error.
The merging runs for about 3 hours, then says: 2/21/2016 9:09:21 PM :: Full backup file merge failed Error: ChannelError: ConnectionReset
It tries about 8 times then quits. Not sure if anyone has any ideas but it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Backup Failing
I just had to open a new case again. 01732799
Now that it has been 2 weeks since the original fix to the old case, it started happening again. The backups work fine until we get to a "rollup" day (14 days), then I get the above errors on 2 separate servers. I know the folders are accessible, they work up until "rollup" day.
What I dont understand is that it works fine for 13 days, then the 14th it fails and I have to lose all the data and rebuild? That doesn't sound right!

Marcus,
Thanks for sharing! May I ask you to upgrade your VEB to a newer version since it have lots of bug fixes included? You can get it from the website.

Re: Backup Failing
No problem. As an FYI, I also updated a new case for the other server: 01733472
I am updating it now on both servers.
