Hi
What happens to throttling rules when you're backing up from one timezone to another? Does the specified time apply on the source or destination or to the proxy being used?
Actually, this probably applies in a larger context too. What if my B&R server is in one timezone, but is set to launch jobs on a cluster in another timezone?
What I'm thinking of doing is having our server run jobs to start backups in another country to a local repository there, and then use WAN Accelerator to do Backup Copy jobs to our main site and push to tape there as required but how are time changes in time zones worked out?
Thanks

Re: Throttling rules and Time zones
When you define throttling rules, you specify the time of the Veeam B&R server itself. So if the activity is occurred in different time zone (for example, if proxy server or repository is installed in another time zone), you need to make corresponding adjustment.

Re: Throttling rules and Time zones
Thanks Foggy, I assume this is the same for any time based actions like jobs?
