Thank you, "It Just Works!". Successful Recovery Story

I wanted to share and give a shout out to Veeam. We had a user that infected one of our VMs with a Locky Virus. It encrypted files local to the VM and held our files for ransom. Thus disabling the system from running properly and it affected our production operation. Once it was established what the issue was and where it came from. It took less than 30 minutes to recover from a backup with Veeam and get the system back into production. Just as an FYI, this virus was passed through an email that a user clicked on. Thank you guys for the awesome work!

Hi, Will.

Thanks a lot for sharing this, and for your kind words!

One thing that I find really scary is that in 100% of "success stories" shared on these forums by Veeam users in the past few months, it was always CryptoLocker that caused the disaster. This is an extremely concerning trend.
