Add Backup completion Notes

Post by Thorvain »

In VCenter when a job completes you can have Veeam update the notes field and that's how we easily find what job and date of last backup.

We are switching to Hyper-V and was wondering if there is something along the same lines for Hyper-V

Maybe add to the Description field?

thanks in advance if you can help me

We are using Veeam 9

Hi Todd,

I will double-check regarding Hyper-V notes, but if you have Veeam ONE deployed, then every VM in the infrastructure tree does have a note for its latest backup date.

Thanks!

Where you able to check if this is going to be added as a feature?

or is VeeamOne the only way we will be able to check

I have never tried it personally, but I'm pretty sure the said properties are configurable via PowerShell. So, simple script that being setup as a post-job activity updates description/notes field should be exactly what you're after. Thanks.
