Backup failed

Post by nguyent »

Hi
I upgraded to 4.1.2 and reinstall it on new server with sql 2005 for db. I did copy all backup files to new location and then I ran backup job but it failed many times.
I did delete all old jobs and then created new job, but the backup still failed.
Thanks
Tan

Hello Tan,

I am not 100% sure I understood the situation you've described above, but could you please clarify what backup files you have moved to a new location? Besides, are you able to create snapshot on failed VMs manually using vSphere Client?

Thank you!

Thanks for reply. Yes I can manually took snapshot with sVsphere Client. The backup files are *.vbk and *.vrb from local disk old to new server.

In this case, I would definitely recommend to open a support ticket with our technical team, as we we will need to investigate all the log files to assist you. Though, It sound like the installation on the fresh VM didn't complete successfully.
