Veeam Backup (Free) - 2 simple questions

Post by zadrian »

I got 2 simple questions, hope some one can assist to enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

1. Update does not seem to work. I just checked and it still shows 1.1.2.119 is still the latest although 1.5 us out.
Can I just download the 1.5 and install ? Will it do a auto-upgrade ?

2. I have like 20 Dell notebooks of the same model (Win7 pro). I used clonezilla to clone them then rename them before I join Domain then issue to users.
I intend to split the HDD into 2 partitions so that volume level backup is saved on D:\
So if I have a new notebook (based on master image), can I create a "master" recovery media or would I need to create a recovery media for every notebook ?

Hi zadrian,

#1 The build is not yet published to the auto update servers, thus you have to upgrade manually. And no, it won’t break anything, make a reboot after you upgraded the VEB, just in case.

#2 If hardware is the same, you can use one recovery media for all laptops.
