I am setting up backup jobs and I would like to meet the requirement of having 2 weeks (14 days) locally and off-site.
My question is this: Is there any practical difference between configuring a "Secondary Destination" or a Backup Copy job which keeps 14 Restore Points?

Nope, those are just two ways leading you to backup copy job creation wizard. Thanks.

Re: Difference between Backup Copy and Secondary Destination
When you configure secondary destination, you actually link backup copy job to the original backup job, so this is actually the same functionality.
